Non-Bahraini Policeman Jailed for Five Years for Smuggling Drugs to Prisoner in Jaw Prison

Bahrain Mirror: The first high criminal court in Bahrain sentenced both a non-Bahraini policeman and another person, who holds the Bahraini nationality and is serving a jail term at the Reform and Rehabilitation Center in Jaw Prison, to five years imprisonment, also fining them 3,000 BD.
The first was convicted of attempting to smuggle illegal substances to the second for a bribe. The court acquitted the second defendant of involvement in the crime, ordering the confiscation of seized items and deportation of the Asian policeman after serving his sentence, according to the Al-Ayyam newspaper.
