Bahrain Mirror: The First High Criminal Appeals Court rejected, in absentia, the appeal of a suspect accused of acquiring Molotov. The suspect is sentenced to six months in jail only, due to his young age.
The court said that the suspect did not attend his session, despite knowing its date.
The authorities claimed that the 3 suspects burnt a car, on January 20, 2017, that has a gas cylinder and Molotov inside it, aiming at exploding it in Saar.
The investigating lieutenant said that he could identify the 3 suspects through investigations.
The Public prosecution referred the 3 to trial. It accused the first suspect of attempting to cause an explosion, aiming at intimidating people and for a terrorist aim. It also accused him of deliberately burning, along with other unknowns, the movables mentioned in the documents.
The prosecution accused the second and third suspects of acquiring Molotov, aiming at using them to put people's lives and money to danger.
The first-instance court had already acquitted the first suspect (20 years) of the charge of attempting to cause an explosion in Saar through burning a car that has a gas cylinder and tires inside it, due to lack of evidence.
Meanwhile, it issued 6-month jail term against the appellant and another suspect (both are 15 years old) and ordered the confiscation of seized items.
