Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's High Criminal Court of First Instance decided to amend the sentence of three defendants sentencing them to one-year imprisonment, while upholding the remaining verdict.
The court of first instance had sentenced them to 3 years in prison over charges of falsifying a report of a medical committee and submitting it to an insurance company, and ordered the confiscation of the forged document.
The Public Prosecutor's Office had accused the first, second and third defendants of involvement in an agreement and assistance along with an unknown suspect in April 2015 to commit fraud by forging an official document, a medical report falsely attributed to the Medical Appeals Committee of the Ministry of Health.
