Bahraini Gov’t Considers Criminalizing Publication of any Images or Videos that Violate Privacy of Individuals on Social Media

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Council of Ministers discussed during its regular weekly session at Al-Gudaibiya Palace on Monday morning (February 12, 2018), "Criminalizing the publication of any images or video clips that violate the privacy of individuals via the abuse of social media or other public means."
A statement issued by the Council of Ministers said that the government discussed this through the memorandum submitted for this purpose by the Minister of the Interior, which included an amendment to Article (370) of Decree Law No. (15) of 1976 in the Penal Code. The Council decided to refer it to the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs.
