Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Retracts Decision to Criminalize Photographing Traffic Accidents

Bahrain Mirror: The Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee of the Bahraini House of Representatives retracted its previous decision to criminalize the photographing of traffic accidents and recommended in a new report rejecting the bill.
For a fourth time in its next session, the Parliament is expected to discuss the bill, which stipulates that anyone who photographs a traffic accident and publishes it by any electronic means or other means will be punished, excluding the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident and its passengers as well as the media outlets authorized to cover the incident.
