Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa criticized on Sunday (February 18, 2018) the Cybercrime Directorate at the Ministry of the Interior, saying that it is spreading sedition among citizens.
"We have set it (the Cybercrime Directorate) up to protect the people, yet there are people [working] in it who are making mistakes and spreading sedition among people," said former MP Mohammad Khalid quoting the PM during his weekly meeting.
The weekly meeting was attended by the Cabinet Assistant Undersecretary Ibrahim Al-Dosari for a second time since a lawsuit was raised against him over leaked conversations between him and MP Anas Buhandi.
The leaks, in which Al-Dosari attacked the Follow-up Minister at the Royal Court, Ahmed Atiyat-Allah and other MPs, including the President of the Council, Ahmed Al-Mulla, provoked the Royal Court.
Al-Dosari faces a parliamentary committee investigating his ownership of Al-Reem Complex in Riffa based on those leaks. According to some MPs, the land on which Al-Dosari built the compound belongs to the government.
