Bahrain Mirror: Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, the largest opposition political group in Bahrain, said that the court rejected the lawyers' request at a hearing on February 19, 2018, to speak to the secret witness, "even from behind a veil and with his voice altered."
Al-Wefaq reiterated that the case is "malicious and lacks the most basic elements of justice and integrity," adding that the continued use of the judiciary to punish Bahrainis who voice an opposing opinion indicates the country's need to build a state of law and institutions.
