Public Security Chief Discusses with US Assistant Secretary of Defense Iranian Interventions in Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini Public Security Chief, Tariq Al-Hassan, met with the US Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Katie Wheelbarger to discuss Iranian interventions in Bahrain.
The meeting was attended by Bahraini Assistant Public Security Chief for Operations and Training Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and the Deputy Ambassador to Bahrain Aimee Cutrona.
An official statement said that the head of public security discussed with his guest "the terrorist acts against Bahrain that included the smuggling of weapons and explosives and the targeting of police officers," pointing out "the blatant Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the material and logistical support provided by Iranian parties to terrorist groups." The statement further highlighted "Iran's clear support for propaganda campaigns aimed at tarnishing the reputation of Bahrain and undermining the considerable reforms carried out by the Kingdom in terms of security and human rights and other fields."
