Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini local Al-Watan newspaper, owned by the Royal Court, said on Saturday that the Public Prosecutor's office sent a summons to the newspaper's editor-in-chief, Youssef Al-Binkhalil, to interrogate him over a complaint submitted by MP Anas Buhendi, which is due to be investigated on Tuesday at the prosecutor's office.
MP Buhendi lodged a complaint with the Public Prosecution against the editor-in-chief of the Al-Watan newspaper, following a story entitled, "The Southern Sadisa residents thank Justice Minister for Removing Anas Buhendi from Ghatam Mosque Imam Position" published in the newspaper on February 11, 2018.
The newspaper published a letter it said was written by the people of Southern Sadisa thanking the Minister of Justice for his dismissal of Anas Buhendi due to his "conspiracy against the King's project", an accusation based on leaked conversations between the Cabinet Assistant Undersecretary Ibrahim Al-Dosari and him.
