Bahrain's Non-Oil Imports Reached 440 Million Dinars in February

Bahrain Mirror: The foreign trade of non-oil goods report, issued by the Customs Affairs Authority and published by the Information and E-Government Authority, showed that Bahrain's total non-oil imports amounted to about 440.377 million dinars, i.e. equivalent to 1.171 billion USD last February, while non-oil exports amounted to 208.704 million dinars, equivalent to 555.065 million USD during the same period, which means that the value of trade balance deficit during the last year amounted to 231.673 million dinars, an estimated 52.6%.
The data showed that China ranked first in terms of volume of imports to Bahrain in February, which amounted to 55.195 million dinars. The United Arab Emirates came in second place with 34.540 million dinars, Australia came in third place with 34.377 million dinars, France came in fourth place with 31.431 million dinars, and Japan came in fifth place with imports amounting to 29.752 million dinars.
On the most important commodities imported by Bahrain, the data showed that aluminum oxide came in first place as the most imported good with a value amounting to 31.505 million dinars, followed by power generators of 750 kVA with 17.689 million dinars. Iron ores and concentrates came in third place with 15.469 million dinars, and Jeep vehicles in fourth place with 12.177 million dinars. As for mobile telephones for cellular networks or other wireless networks, they came in fifth place with 8.529 million dinars.
In terms of non-oil exports, the data showed that Bahrain's total non-oil exports in February reached 208.704 million dinars, 169.024 million dinars of which were national exports and 39.680 million dinars re-exports.
