Bahrain Mirror: The Fourth High Criminal Court sentenced 5 suspects to 3 years in prison over putting fake bomb in Jid Ali and ordered the confiscation of the seized body.
The Public Prosecution accused the 5 suspects of setting, along with other unknowns, on November 22, 2015, fire to a number of tires on Street 77 in Jid Ali, for a terrorist aim.
The authorities said that the 5 suspects gathered at 5am on November 22, 2015 on Street 77 in Jid Ali and "disrupted public peace, put people lives to danger, burnt tires and put hoax bomb".
The authorities claim that they reached the suspects through "investigations".
Human rights organizations challenge the charges raised against political detainees, since they doubt the independence of the judiciary, whose members are assigned by royal decrees, and since it issues sentences based on confessions extracted under duress and evidence presented by secret investigations and anonymous witnesses.
