Shura Approves Criminalizing Putting Stickers and Unofficial Stamps on Passports

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Shura Council approved during its 25th session held today morning under the chairmanship of Ali Al-Saleh a bill criminalizing putting stickers, slogans, words, signs, stamps or other markings on any part of the passport by unauthorized parties.
The council approved a bill amending certain provisions of the code of civil and commercial procedure issued under law (12) for 1971, accompanying to decree (31) for 2017, before it discussed the report of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee regarding adding a new article (18) to Law No. (11) of 1975 regarding passports, accompanying Decree No. (79) of the year 2016, that aims at criminalizing putting stickers, slogans, words, signs, stamps or other markings on any part of the passport by unauthorized parties.
