Finance Minister: Public Debt Amounts to 10.6 Bln Dinars, Ongoing Need for Borrowing

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Finance Minister, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, said Bahrain's total public debt reached BD 10.6 billion by the end of November 2017.
"The need for borrowing continues; due to the continued deficit in the general budget of the state, in addition to the payment of debts due during the year," he noted.
With regards to interest on loans, the Minister stated that they are included in the general budget of the state, which is approved in accordance with the legislative authority at each budget session.
