Khalifa bin Salman Receives Shura Council Chairman Days before Discussing New Retirement Law

Bahrain Mirror: Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al-Saleh few days before discussing the new retirement law that dissatisfied citizens.
An official statement said that Khalifa bin Salman discussed with Ali Saleh Al-Saleh "issues pertaining to the legislative field and ways of serving the national and citizens' interests."
Last week, the legislative committee in the Shura council passed the new retirement law that it deemed "constitutional". Meanwhile, Shura services committee agreed in consensus yesterday on the controversial law that will be reviewed in an exceptional session in the Shura Council this week.
It is to mention that the House of Representatives rejected in consensus the new law. Meanwhile, the legislative committee considered it unconstitutional.
The new retirement law gives ultimate powers to the retirement fund board in determining premiums, pension salaries and years of service.
