Appeals Court Issues 3-Year Jail Term against Suspect Accused of Escaping Dry Dock Prison and Other Suspect Who Hid him

Bahrain Mirror: The Fifth High Criminal Appeals Court upheld 3-year jail term against an appellant convicted of hiding a suspect who escaped Dry Dock Prison, noting that the fugitive is sentenced to prison terms that reach 49 years over political cases. His total prison terms increased to 52 years in jail.
The first suspect (appellant) admitted that the second suspect asked him to hide a fugitive in his domicile and that he accepted.
The first suspect hid, on February 27, 2017, a convict over political cases and who is sentenced to life in prison, despite being aware of that. The first suspect confessed that the second one asked him to hide a fugitive in his home because he escaped the prison.
The Public Prosecution accused the first suspect of hiding the convict who is sentenced to life in prison, despite being aware of that. It also accused the second suspect of participating with the first one through hiding the convict and that he agreed with the first suspect to hide the escapee in his domicile.
