Bahrain Mirror: The University of Bahrain said that all the sons and daughters of female Bahrainis can join the University of Bahrain and that they will be treated as Bahrainis whether regarding admission or tuition fees, stressing that the claims saying that children of Bahraini women are being deprived of studying at the University of Bahrain are baseless.
The Deanship of Admissions and Registration at the University said in response to a report published by Al-Bilad newspaper on Sunday, in its June 10 issue entitled: "Top Student Manar deprived of studying at the University of Bahrain," that the conditions of admission imposed on Bahraini nationals are the same as those imposed on children of Bahraini women, i.e. the student must be a high school graduate with a cumulative average of not less than 70%, more than two academic years should not have passed after he/she attained the secondary school diploma or anything equivalent to it, the student should have undergone a personal interview and examination, the student should also be eligible to study in the language in which the academic program he/she wishes to join is taught, also be medically fit according to the nature of the program, and finally have good conduct.
