Mumtalakat Invests $10.6 Billion around World

Bahrain Mirror: Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute data showed that Mumtalakat "Bahrain's investment arm" invests about $10.6 billion around the world. The institute's data stated that the sovereign fund in Bahrain occupied the 38th rank among the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world.
Bahrain's sovereign fund occupied the 12th rank on the Arab level. Meanwhile, the Norwegian government pension fund came in the first place, as the largest sovereign fund in the world, after its assets reached $1035.24 billion.
Since the founding of the Bahraini sovereign fund in 2005, Mumtalakat did not help the country's public budget, despite legislative demands to its contributing in the budget and controlling it.
