Bahrain Mirror: American members from Ministry of Justice and FBI office are training security apparatus in Bahrain on what they called "fighting terrorism".
It is not known whether the these trainings will contribute to increasing human rights violations in the country that witnesses political unrest since the eruption of Arab Spring in 2011.
US Ambassador Justin Siberell said that this program would "promote mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries to combat criminal activity, including terrorist crimes."
The Bahraini authorities accuse the opposition, which demands putting an end to Al Khalifa monopoly over power, of terrorism and say that they have been facing processes backed by Iran since 7 years.
Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al-Hassan said that Bahrain "has been subjected to externally supported and financed terrorism, including training and supporting terrorist elements."
