Bahraini Prisoners Left under Heat of Sun, Beaten for Practicing Ashura Rituals: SALAM Organization

Bahrain Mirror: SALAM organization for Democracy and Human Rights has revealed serious violations in Jaw prison against political prisoners who have been practicing Ashura rites.
"We received testimonies from Jaw prison about prisoners being beaten for practicing religious rites," stressed Salam, adding that they have stated that "some were punished yesterday in the courtyard outside the building and were kept under the scorching sun, beaten by senior officers in prison and demanded to insult and curse the leaders of the Shiite sect in Bahrain."
