Parliament's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Withdraws Its Rejection, Imposes VAT

Bahrain Mirror: Following a meeting with speaker of the chamber of deputies, Parliament's financial and economic affairs committee withdrew its recommendation regarding rejecting the value added tax decree.
Except of MP Jalal Kazem Al-Mahfouz, who remained on his rejecting stance, 4 members (Abdulrahman Bu Ali, Adel Hamid, Ahmed Qartah, and Majid Al-Asfour) voted in favor of the decree, while 2 others (Mohammed Al-Ahmed and Mohammad Al-Imadi), who attended the first meeting, were absent from this session and rejected the decree.
