Shura Council Approves VAT Decree, Constitutional Amendment Granting It Right to Question

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's appointed Shura Council approved the VAT bill. The council also approved during its first session of the extraordinary session of the fourth legislative session, held on (Sunday) morning, the recommendation of the Parliament's financial and economic affairs in the Shura Council, ratifying decree 47/2018 by approving the GCC States unified agreement of VAT.
The council also approved recommendation of the Parliament's financial and economic affairs regarding decree 48/2018 concerning issuing VAT law. Meanwhile, the final consent on the bill was taken. The council also approved a bill amending article 91 of the Constitution, presented by the Parliament, in accordance with the Shura council that grants the latter right to question.
