Court Summons 7 Attesting Witnesses in Case of Interior Ministry Worker Accused of Embezzlement

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini First High Criminal Court decided to adjourn the case of misappropriation of funds from the Ministry of the Interior, in which an employee of the General Directorate of Traffic, 24 years old, is accused of committing, until October 15 in order to summon 7 attesting witnesses.
The prosecution charged the defendant, who exploited his duty as an officer, during 2016, first: in his capacity of a public employee of embezzling the amounts of money shown in the documents in the possession of the Ministry of the Interior, which was found [the money] in his possession as a result of his job as a collecting officer; second: of entering the Information Technology of the General Directorate of Traffic, linked to the Ministry of Interior, without legal justification.
