Bahrain Mirror: Human Rights Activist Ibtisam Al-Sayegh said prisoner Abu Al-Fadl Al-Qashami is suffering from severe pain in his teeth since five days ago, forcing him to use diluted Clorox to relieve the pain, especially since he was not referred to a doctor and did not receive any treatment.

Al-Sayegh explained via her Instagram account that Abu Al-Fadl made a telephone call, after his failed attempt to get help from the police for his request for treatment, which has become far reaching to prisoners held in the notorious Jaw Central Prison.

The rights defender demanded that he "receives proper treatment to stop the pain," stressing that "The basic right of every prisoner according to the law is allowing treatment. Therefore, the prison administration is responsible for the deterioration of prisoners' conditions, and there must be punitive measures taken against anyone who attempts to deprive any person from this right". She further called for ending the policy of impunity in  order to take steps in the path of justice.

The court had sentenced the daughter of Shi'ite cleric Sheikh Mohammed Saleh Al-Qashami to five years in prison and her brother Abu Al-Fadl was sentenced to 15 years in prison on January 31, 2018, one year after their arrests along with their father, who was released a year after arbitrary detention.
