Bahrain Mirror: The Jaffari Endowments Directorate issued a circular in which it called not to use the mosques and obsequies in the electoral propaganda.
The statement issued by the endowments stressed on the importance of adhering of imams, muezzins and preachers to the instructions of the Higher Committee to oversee the integrity of the elections. The Directorate warned imams, muezzins and preachers not to allow candidates to be imams, call for prayers or make speeches in houses of worship, as well as not to use mosques and community centers, or their annexes, for electoral propaganda in all its forms.
It is to note that the majority of Shiites are tending to boycott the Parliamentary and municipal elections to be held this month.
