Court Sentences Suspect to One Month in Jail, 200 BD Fine for Vandalizing Election Billboard in Diraz

Bahrain Mirror: The Third Minor Criminal Court sentenced a citizen to one month in jail over vandalizing an election billboard of a candidate. The court replaced the sentence with binding the suspect to not approach any of the candidates' billboards and fined him 200 BD for the charge attributed to him. It also bind him to pay 236 BD, value of the damaged billboard, for the candidate.
The authorities say that the suspect confessed during investigations that he was along with his brother and their two friends in Diraz on the incident day and that he tore the candidate's election billboard.
The Public Prosecution accused him of deliberately vandalizing a licensed election billboard on November 7.
