8 Million BD Income of Public Prosecution from Fines and Bails

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's public prosecution income from fines and bails amounted to 8 million dinars ($21 million) last year alone, according to statements made by the Attorney General Ali Al-Buainain on Tuesday (January 22, 2019).
Al-Buainain did not refer to the nature of the cases from which the prosecution obtained these sums, but the judicial apparatuses punish the detainees on political-related cases with harsh financial penalties.
He explained "through the prosecution of sentences execution from the collection of fines imposed on convicts by about a total of 5 million dinars, the total number of bail obtained by the Public Prosecution during 2018 exceeded 3 million dinars."
