10-Year Jail Term against One of Suspects Accused of Taking Part in Jaw Prison Incidents 4 Years Ago

Bahrain Mirror: The First High Appeals Criminal Court commuted the sentence of one of the defendants in Jaw Prison incidents case that took place in March 2015. The court commuted his sentence from 15 to 10 years in jail like the other suspects who challenged the ruling.
Clashes broke out between detainees and prison guards on March 10, 2015, and they quickly evolved into protests involving hundreds of political prisoners. The clashes ended with repression, beatings, harassment against detainees and placing them in open plastic tents for a long time as punishment for their protest.
