PHOTOS: Protests Held in Bahrain on Eve of Eighth Anniversary of Feb. 14 Uprising

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain witnessed several protests on the eve of eight anniversary of February 14 uprising.
Hundreds of people staged protests in areas east of Manama, like Sanabis, Jidhafs, Bilad Al-Qadeem and Al-Mirkh. Protestors in Hemla held Bahraini flags and martyrs' photos.
Photos published by activists showed hundreds of people taking part in protests on Wednesday (February 13, 2019) night. Countries like Al-Shakhoura and Abu Saiba witnessed arrests of residents after the security apparatuses cracked down the protests. Meanwhile, the chasing scene was repeated in number of areas including Al-Musala, Abu Quwa, Karana and Karbabad.
Shops in Sitra and other areas closed. People turned off lights in their houses in protest against the oppression campaign launched by the authorities against people demanding transfer into a democratic regime.
The authorities had launched raid and arrest campaign within the past two days.
"As the eighth anniversary of the peaceful protest movement calling for rights and freedoms, which was launched in 2011, approached, we monitored 28 cases of detention, 93% of them were carried out through illegal house raids," the BCHR said via its Twitter account.
