YouTube Account Owner to be Referred to Public Prosecution Over “Songs Offensive to Religion”

Bahrain Mirror: The General Directorate for Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security said that through the monitoring and follow-up of social media sites, a personal account was monitored through YouTube, whose owner posts songs whose "content is offensive to religion and Islamic teachings."
The Director General explained that the account owner "not only uploaded these songs but also shared them on a chat site without any concern for what consequences these actions may cause on civil peace and the social fabric."
He further pointed out that the necessary legal measures have been taken in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
