Bahrain Extends Detention of 3 Children, Bans them from Contacting Families

Bahrain Mirror: The Public Prosecutor extended on Wednesday (February 27, 2019) the detention of the two children, Hussein Radi Abdullah and Ali Husein Abdulwahab, from Al-Musalla village, for an additional 4 days, and extended the detention of child Hasan Hamza Saeed, from Abu Saiba, for 7 days pending investigation.
Human rights activist Ibtisam Al-Saegh said on Tuesday (February 26, 2019) that the juvenile prison is depriving the three detained children, who are 14 years old, from calling their families. Al-Saegh said that the detained are only allowed to have family visits for one time each week, noting that the visit is only for 30 minutes.
