Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received on Tuesday February 26, 2019, at the Gudaibiya Palace Jared KuShner, Senior Advisor to US President Donald Trump and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Crown Prince First Deputy Prime Minister and Bahraini Foreign and Finance Ministers.
Kushner's visit comes as part of a Gulf tour. During the meeting he praised Bahrain for its support for peace and security in the region.
On the visit, CNN said that the aim of the tour was to inform allies of the US administration's plan to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," dubbed as the "Deal of the Century".
Kushner told Sky News Arabia on Monday that they "tried to find realistic and fair solutions to these issues in 2019 to allow people to have better lives".
Washington is due to present its peace plan after Israel's April 9 election.
In early February, US media revealed Kushner's intention to disclose some of the economic details of the Middle East peace plan known as the "Deal of the Century" to a number of wealthy Arab countries as part of their quest for financial support for the plan.
The "Deal of the Century" is a peace plan which the Trump administration is working on. It is said that it would force Palestinians to make unfair concessions to Israel, especially on the status of occupied Al-Quds and the right of return of Palestinian refugees.
