Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Football Association (BFA) issued a statement supporting the decision of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to cancel the Qatari "beIN sport" channels' monopoly on Asian continent matches and competitions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The association said in the statement that it fully supports AFC's decision to suppress the monopoly of sports channels for the Asian Games and competitions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the basis of the information provided by the Continental Union and the legal reasons, including the illegality of beIN Sport broadcast in Saudi Arabia, for the serious legal and statutory irregularities committed by the channel, and its inability to obtain the necessary licenses to fulfill its obligations towards the broadcast of Asian Union competitions viewers in Saudi Arabia.
The Bahraini Football Association hailed the statement issued by the Saudi Football Federation regarding prevention of monopoly to watch Asian competitions matches, stressing that (the Bahraini federation) direction to take similar actions based on the multiple violations of the beIN Sport channel in misusing publishing for political purposes.
