Bahrain Mirror: Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa gave directives to the Interior Ministry to deal firmly with social media accounts that spark sedition.
The PM "condemned, in the strongest terms, the misleading attempts made by some websites and social media accounts to sow sedition through disseminating fallacies and rumors in a bid to target the kingdom's closely-knit social fabric, noting that those attempts are made by internal and external plotters and enemies of the nation."
He gave directives to the Ministry of Interior "to deal strictly with offending social media networks, through intensifying monitoring and follow-up, as well as taking strict and stringent legal measures against those in charge of them and the cyber cells that cooperate with them to address the phenomenon of accounts that cause harm to Bahrain's social security and prevent them from achieving their malicious goals."
