Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society issued a statement on the International Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan annually.
Al-Wefaq stressed that the commitment to Jerusalem is a humanitarian obligation before being ideological or political, adding that abandoning Jerusalem by some regimes and blocs is not a stance or an opinion because it contradicts an inherent right, and no one has the right to take a decision concerning it.
It pointed out that those who make a decision to abandon, waive or teeter the cause of Jerusalem, practically lose their legitimacy and any legal cover they enjoy and are completely dislodged from the human, Arab and Islamic body, because Jerusalem and Palestine have an Arab and Islamic consensus.
Al-Wefaq said that this year, Quds Day comes amid delicate developments and updates regarding the Palestinian cause, especially with the start of the deal of the century, which is a cheap, public, flagrant exploitation of the cause.
The society renewed its rejection of the Bahraini conference that was called for by the US administration to support the Zionist entity, asserting that the Bahraini regime does not have the right to decide to host this terrible conference that evokes the Balfour Declaration and the Camp David Summit.
Al-Wefaq called on the masses worldwide, especially the masses of the great Bahraini people, to express their stances in various peaceful means and protest mechanisms to reject all schemes of conspiracies and normalization projects and some regimes' attempt to fall into the arms of the Zionists in search of a legitimate cover after their people rejected them.
