Bahrain Mirror: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi stressed that "Jordan is invited to attend a workshop in Bahrain," explaining that "Jordan hasn't yet taken its decision on whether it will participate."
"Attending the Bahrain Workshop does not reflect Jordan's position towards solving the crisis of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," he stressed, adding that their position has not changed and their support for the rights of the Palestinian people has not changed. "If we go to Manama, we will go to declare our position clearly."
"We are invited to attend the workshop in Manama and we are studying our stance on whether to go or not," he noted, explaining that "if we will go, we will go to express our long-standing approach and if something unacceptable is proposed, we will say no, and if positive things are proposed, we will deal with them. Anything to be proposed has to be within the framework of a solution for the two states."
The United States, the largest supporter of Israel in the international arena, is preparing to organize the "Peace for Prosperity" economic workshop in Bahrain on June 25-26, which is expected to focus on investment on the Palestinian territories.
