Kuwaiti Al-Hajraf to Take over Position of GCC Secretary-General Next April

Bahrain Mirror: Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf to take over the position of Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council as of April 1, 2020.
Al-Hajarf is one of Kuwait's leading professionals, having conducted numerous experiences in various locations, the most recent of which was the leadership of the Ministry of Finance.
Oman has apologized for submitting a candidate to succeed Bahraini Abdulatif Al-Zayani, whose term has expired. The GCC statute stipulates that the Supreme Council, which includes the heads of the six Gulf States, appoints the secretary-general of the GCC countries for a period of three years, renewable for one time.
