Bahraini Regime Signs Agreement to Establish Diplomatic Ties with Israeli Entity, 7 Memoranda of Understanding

Bahrain Mirror: On Sunday (October 18, 2020), the Bahraini regime signed a joint declaration with the Israeli occupation entity to inaugurate full and peaceful diplomatic relations between them. The two sides also signed memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, aviation, technology and agriculture.
During talks in Manama yesterday amid a US presence, seven joint cooperation memoranda were signed in several areas, including financial and economic fields.
The signed memorand of understanding included a number of areas of cooperation between Bahrain and Israel, including exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and private passports and service.
The Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulatif Al-Zayani, said that "an agreement was signed to establish diplomatic relations with Israel" and added "the declaration of support for peace with the State of Israel and the signing of memoranda of understanding in a number of areas establish fruitful bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel."
Israeli National Security Adviser, Meir Bin Shabat, affirmed that the success of this visit will positively affect the future of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Israel, in terms of continuing joint coordination between them and contributing to strengthening the peace process in the region in a way that serves the aspirations of its states and peoples towards progress and prosperity.
The Israeli official hailed the Kingdom of Bahrain's vision of peace in the Middle East and its keenness to promote stability and security in the region.
Earlier on Sunday, an Israeli delegation accompanied by the U.S. Treasury Secretary arrived in Bahrain, on the first direct flight from Tel Aviv to Manama, to activate the declaration of support for peace between the Israeli entity and Bahrain.
The delegation was accompanied by U.S. Treasury Secretary, Steve Mnuchin, whose office said the mission is aims at "an expanded economic cooperation between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE."
