Former Iranian Ambassador to Bahrain Appointed as Iran's Foreign Minister

Bahrain Mirror: Iran's Shura Council has approved the appointment of Hussein Amir Abdollahian as a foreign minister. Abdollahian served as Iran's ambassador to Bahrain from 2007 to 2010.
Abdollahian said via his Twitter account that "Tehran is determined to adopt a balanced foreign policy," noting that "neighboring countries come at the forefront of priorities during his tenure in the ministry."
