Bahrain Mirror: The German Press Agency (DPA) said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman will embark on a tour of Gulf states, including the Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, the Emirates and Kuwait.
The visit "focuses on strengthening cooperation and coordination between the GCC countries in all fields and issues of concern to the region. The Iranian nuclear and missile file will be one of the tour's main topics," the agency quoted unnamed sources in Riyadh as saying.
"The visit discusses the possibility of a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis based on the Gulf initiative, its executive mechanism, the outcome of the Comprehensive Yemeni National Dialogue Conference, UN Security Council Resolution 2216, the Saudi initiative to end the Yemeni crisis, and end the human suffering of the Yemeni people," DPA reported.
The tour will also discuss the political developments in Iraq in light of the recent parliamentary elections results, the situation in Syria and the developments of the Palestinian cause.
A source told the agency that bin Salman talks in the GCC states "will also address the importance of unifying stances on regional and international political issues, and adopting the policy of the Gulf self-reliance gulf in the face of any fluctuations of international positions, in line with the interests of the GCC states."
"Ending any geopolitical disputes at any level, and increasing the pace of cooperation in various fields, including security, defense, economy, trade and investment between the six GCC countries, will be an important point in the Saudi Crown Prince's discussions with the Gulf leaders."
This tour comes ahead of the 42nd summit to be held in Riyadh on December 14.
Mohammad bin Salman will start his tour from Oman, where a series of joint initiatives is expected to be launched. The initiatives will include key areas of cooperation, investments in the project to establish an industrial zone in the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD), energy cooperation and others.
He will also witness the historic opening of the first 800-KM direct land border between the two countries, the Empty Quarter.
This is the first visit of Bin Salman to Doha after the Gulf reconciliation, which took place during the 41st Gulf Summit held in the Saudi city of Al-Ula in January.
