Bahrain Mirror: "Awal Gulf Manufacturing" announced its bankruptcy, liquidation, and complete closure in a case filed before the Bahraini judiciary, which will render 220 Bahraini employees of the company unemployed.
An official at the company confirmed that the decision to completely shut down came against the backdrop of financial difficulties the company has been facing since 2018 with local banks, due to its indebtedness amounting to approximately 49 million Bahraini dinars.
The official, who preferred not to disclose his name, stated that the company made this decision after local banks backed out of reducing the amount of the debt that had been agreed upon.
