Bahrain Mirror: The Gulf Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (GIDHR) has condemned the Jaw Central Prison administration's disregard for the demands of over 90 political prisoners to end the adopted isolation policy.
The Institute stated in a post on the formerly Twitter "X" platform on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, that "more than 90 political prisoners in Buildings 5, 7, and 9 have been refusing to accept their meals for days in rejection of the isolation policy imposed on some of their fellow inmates, demanding clear guidelines and types of violations that warrant the use of isolation."
GIDHR pointed out that "the prison administration has yet to address the legitimate demands of the prisoners."
