Bahrain Mirror: The wife of political prisoner Yousef Hassan Mohammad, held in the Jaw Central Prison, called on "officials and those in charge" to immediately release her husband and address his deteriorating health condition "so that he does not leave prison dead, carried on shoulders."
Mohammad's wife, in an audio recording on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, said, "My husband entered prison without any illness, but now he suffers from many health problems including colitis, bone issues, dental problems, and eye issues, and he receives no treatment."
She went on to say that she had filed several complaints with the "Ombudsman's Office" about her husband's condition to no avail, pointing out that, "Two days ago, I was surprised by his fainting, heart palpitations, tremors, and sweating," warning that "these symptoms are serious because they are related to the heart." She then stressed that "this is not the first time he has experienced these symptoms, as he was transferred to the prison infirmary, where they did not provide him with the necessary procedures for his worsening condition day by day."
