NAO Office: Reason behind Running out of Medications is Because Health Ministry Reduced Amount of Requirements without Justification

National Audit Office report for the years 2017-2018 said that the reason behind running out or medications within the past years is that the Ministry of Health minimized the quantities of requirements planned by the Inventory Management department for the tender for the purchase of medications made during the years 2016 and 2017, in a way that is not commensurate with the actual rate of consumption of those medicines and without clear justifications.
