Activists said that the security authorities released 3 children who were arrested on the ninth anniversary of February 14 uprising. The authorities accused the 3 children of assembling and suspended them for one week pending investigation.

President of the Bahrain Forum for Human Rights (BFHR), Baqir Darwish, announced in a press conference held by three human rights organizations on Thursday (February 13, 2020) in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, entitled "Evaluation of violations in Bahrain during 2019" that: "In the first 6 months of 2019, 349 people, including 20 children and 3 women, were arbitrarily arrested."

Ayatollah Qassim on Feb. 14 Anniv: Opposition Responsible for Preserving Uprising's Purpose

The opposition is required to multiply its efforts and overcome the causes of division, said Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim in an address he delivered last night marking the ninth anniversary of the Bahraini February 14th uprising that erupted in 2011. He also called on all parties of the opposition to work under the umbrella of the peaceful approach.
